It consists of the village of Chéserex, the former Bonmont Abbey and the La Florettaz settlement. The municipality is located at the foot of the Jura Mountains. The municipality was part of the Nyon District until it was dissolved on 31 August 2006, and Chéserex became part of the new district of Nyon.
